I have represented entrepreneurs, investors, businesses and financial institutions in a range of commercial issues in federal, state, and bankruptcy court. As a lawyer advising troubled companies and their creditors, I conduct post-mortems on failed companies, harvest the assets with remaining value, and resuscitate the companies that can be saved. I negotiate, draft and litigate contracts and financial instruments; investigate and recover assets; and recognize precursors to insolvency.
I have a decade of experience advising clients at large law firms (Locke Lord’s Houston office and Akerman’s Jacksonville office) in the real estate, financial services and energy industries. This broad experience with clients’ businesses ultimately led me to earn my MBA from the University of Cambridge in 2018. I especially enjoy projects that involve startup companies or mature companies that need help formalizing or restructuring their businesses.
